Keep Your New Year's Resolutions!

The thrill of a New Year and prospects of new beginnings is an exciting opportunity for many us! Although as we head into the cold weeks of January and February we can grow weary and lose sight of our high hopes for new goals.

Here are some tips to keep your New Year's Resolutions going:

-Be specific! It's not enough to say "I want better grades", "I want to lose weight", "I want more money". People reach their goals by knowing exactly what they want. There is more power in saying "I want all A's this marking period" or "I am going to lose 12 pounds".

-Write it out! Putting things in writing helps to reinforce new ideas and provide us with reminders about our goals.

-Say it out loud! Don't worry about what your friends and family think. You have big things to accomplish. Saying your goals out loud reinforces your desires as well as reshapes how you think about achieving them. You should practice this twice a day.

-Reflect! Take time to reflect on all the progress you have made. Thinking about our personal growth inspires us to keep going.

"Whether you think you can or think you can't, you are right either way."

-Henry Ford

Here's to a New Year full of endless possibilities!
